Design Competition Concludes

Loda Mobilya, in collaboration with Arel University, organized the Furniture Design Competition with the aim of supporting Turkish design quality and providing young talents the opportunity to connect with the furniture industry. On Thursday, January 9, 2020, Loda Mobilya hosted the award ceremony at its Bostancı store, where numerous student designs added vibrant energy to the event. Following the jury's decision, which included representatives from Loda Mobilya and Arel University, the winners were announced, and their prizes were awarded.

With its philosophy of “Your home is a way to express yourself,” Loda Mobilya continues its work in design and R&D. Believing that bold visions are necessary to strengthen the global presence of Turkish furniture and solidify its design identity, Loda Mobilya is committed to supporting university students through this competition.

Nurturing Designers Who Will Strengthen the Perception of 'Turkish Furniture' Worldwide
Loda Mobilya, which views design as a way of expressing oneself and one’s home, creates a unique design language with its creative and eclectic collections. By interpreting Loft and Retro approaches through a modern lens, Loda gives life to new living forms and style stories with a passion for design. Through its collaboration with Arel University in the Furniture Design Competition, Loda supports young designers and aims to introduce new talent to the industry.

Speaking about the event, Loda Mobilya Chairman Davut Karaçak shared his thoughts: “First, I would like to thank all the students who participated in our design competition with their imaginative and bold designs, and I sincerely congratulate the winners. Our primary mission in organizing this competition was to witness the boundless creativity of young designers who could transform their designs into an endless journey of style. Looking at the results, we see dynamic designers with the vision and strength to shape the future of Turkish furniture and interior design norms. I believe this will have a significant impact on the global perception of 'Turkish Furniture.' We need the innovative approaches and bold perspectives of the younger generation to elevate this perception. The awareness and original thinking that young designers bring to the field will be critical in making Turkish furniture more visible on the global stage. Therefore, we will continue to organize design competitions and create platforms that provide opportunities for young talents.”
