FOR LODA FURNITURE, I DESIGNED PRODUCTS WITH AN ECLECTIC SPIRIT WITH THEIR COLORS AND DESIGNS.

Ayşegül Hotiç, who brings her distinct yet glamorous style to her fans exclusively through her brand, is currently excited about a beautiful project. She has teamed up with Loda Furniture, one of the young and dynamic brands in the Turkish furniture industry, to sign a collaboration that has resulted in numerous successful designs. Ayşegül Hotiç shared her design journey, the collaboration with Loda, and her goals in the world of decoration with Klass readers.

Ayşegül, could you first tell us how your journey in the world of decoration and design began and the story behind the establishment of your brand, Sadece?

My journey in the design world began with my graduation from the Industrial Design department at METU. In the years following my graduation, I designed and produced products for the home sections of two major retail companies in Turkey, which marked the first significant step in my design journey. I believe that achieving the seemingly unreachable is possible through the goals we set. After many years working as a freelance designer in this sector, I decided to establish Sadece two years ago under a corporate umbrella. At Sadece, we focus on architectural projects, design, and implementation. In addition, art is also a part of our business.

What kind of spaces do you aim to create with Sadece?

The concept I want to create at Sadece is to design spaces where everyone can feel comfortable and relaxed, in line with current trends... We aim to create bespoke designs.

“Loda Furniture is an Organization Open to New and Dynamic Ideas”

Currently, you are collaborating with Loda Furniture. How did your paths cross with the brand?

Loda Furniture has an innovative and modern structure that differentiates it from other companies. The idea of producing joint projects while following all innovations in the sector turned into a very exciting project. As I mentioned, Loda is an organization that is very open to new and dynamic ideas. The design and production processes have been a delightful experience.

Can you tell us about the designs you prepared for Loda and the sources of inspiration?

The products I designed for Loda are those that align with the existing customer profile but show a bit more difference... I designed products that possess an eclectic spirit, both in terms of materials and colors and designs. They are products that follow trends but align with the spirit of the company.

“In Architecture and Design, It's Necessary to Always Be ‘New,’ Even ‘Newer,’ and Always ‘New’”

Finally, can you share your goals in the decoration world with us?

The world of decoration is like an endless and bottomless pit. What you design and produce today may already feel outdated by the time it reaches consumers tomorrow. Therefore, in architecture and design, it is essential to always be ‘New,’ even ‘Newer,’ and always ‘New’... That’s my motto: “Always newer and better.”
