Changing Furniture Preferences Among Newlyweds in Turkey
Turkey ranks fourth among the countries with the highest marriage rates, and the preferences for furniture in wedding shopping are increasingly evolving. Newlywed couples are now opting for modern and minimal designs. While the tradition of trousseau still persists in the country, couples are shifting from the guidance of their parents in the past to a more individual-focused furniture shopping experience. The trend among newlyweds in their furniture choices leans towards minimal and modern styles.
Davut Karaçak, Chairman of Loda Mobilya, points out that women's preferences in furniture shopping are more decisive than men's.
Davut Karaçak comments: "Women who are about to enter marriage prioritize factors such as style, color, quality, and ergonomics in their choices. Due to the shrinking of living spaces, women are inclined to buy fewer but higher-quality products. Grooms, on the other hand, tend to make the final decisions on technological items rather than furniture."
